Santorini Park Cha-Am Phetkasem Road

Even from a distance every car driver, who is on the way from Bangkok to the south, can see the big Ferris wheel of the in March 2012 new opened Santorini Park, which is located close to Cha-Am directly on Highway 4, the Phetkasem Road. About two miles from the junction to Cha-Am, you can find the park at the right side.

But the park is really worthwhile?
We tested the themepark and report in detail about it, so you can take your own decisions!

Narrow alleys in Santorini Park
Modern and cosy houses in Cha-Am
The park is devided in several areas. In the first area, the shopping area, are located many small narrow streets with factory outlet shops, food stalls and souvenir shops, where you can buy cheap branded goods, among other things.
According to the owners of Santorini's Park on 5 May is the grand opening of the park and until then, all retail outlets will be rented. He is hoping for international sales partners for factory outlet, which will offfer brand name clothing much cheaper than in Europe.
In the small whimsical narrow streets, you see many colorful details, as here, where an old wind mill was rebuilt.
Under the windmill enthroned a couple of little monkeys.

In this alley, too, the artists have left their creativity run wild. Over the alley cats are flying, attached to branches.

Santorini Park with modern shops
The shopping passage Santorini Shopping Park is very clean, modern and gives you a cosy feeling. Walking and window shopping is reallyfun in the many small narrow streets.

Green area in Santorini Park
Directly in front of the shopping area is a huge square, where the attractions of the park are found. There are also opportunities to rest and some food stalls. In front of the tables of the food stalls is a band, wich is playing soft live music.

Young Thai couples enjoy the Santorini park
Water garden in Santorini Park
On the large square is a huge fountain and water features, much to the delight of the children!

Also young Thai couples like to come here to have fun around.

Apple core in Thailand Santorini Park
Creativity at its best: Sitting in an apple core and recover from the stresses and strains.

In the Santorini amusement park there is a unique method of locomotion for children:
The Ponycycles.
They are a mixture of a bicycle and a jumping pole. The children have to push the pedals forward and backward, this dregs the legs of the horse together, or separate again.
The ponies are on wheels so that they move jerkily forward. With the handles at the top of the head of the Pony, this vehicle can be steered.

Modern sculptures in Santorini Park Thailand
Modern sculptures were designed by many unnamed artists in form of a fountain. For some of us it is colorful kitsch, for other fine art.

Sunset in Thailand Santorini Park von Cha-Am

At sunset the reflecting sunlight transmutes the park and the fountains turned into a golden landscape. In the evening from about 7 p.m. all attractions switches on the light and the Santorini park turns into an ocean of colorful lights.

The attractions of the park and our conclusion about the Santorini park you will find
